pre-season friendly

The new Technical Adviser of Lobi Stars FC, coach Eddy Dombraye opened his Lobi Star’s account with a two goals victory against former NPFL champions, Plateau Utd in what was the team’s first competitive game of the pre-season in Jos.

The team was earlier camped in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital with a brief stop over at Makurdi before proceeding to Jos over a week ago. The game despite being a Pre-season match still had the steam of the north central derby with both teams going for it from the blast of the whistle.

Lobi had Etim Matthew and Sai’d Mubarak to thank for the first half goals which were enough to secure the victory and clean sheet for the team.

Speaking after the game to Lobi media, coach Dombraye in his words said ” you are always happy with a victory but i wasn’t too impressed with the way the team played especially in the central defense but am ok with the final result and i hope to improve the team before the league starts”

He further said, he was happy coming back home to impact positively his knowledge of the game to the Nigerian league and it is his desire to make Lobi Stars FC title contenders again by the time the new season starts.

Lobi”s new look team will be unveiled before the start of the new football season
